Our experience has shown that the introduction of Transend's sorting frames can often be a catalyst for reviewing current practices and establishing new best practice processes, resulting in significant productivity gains.

With the introduction of tubular sorting frames, there are opportunities  to introduce other changes which will also impact significantly on delivery efficiency.  These include, in particular:

• Standardisation of work methods and processes across all rounds and all delivery offices

• Development of KPIs for delivery roles

Transend can provide assistance with and/or input into customised training, workflow and office layout, and process improvement expertise to ensure productivity gains are optimised when tubular sorting frames are introduced.

Pilot Implementation

Transend has developed a simple approach to piloting this equipment that minimises the delay between the decision to implement and when results begin to be apparent.  For simplicity, this has been created as a package that includes the equipment and consultancy to make it work in the local environment. 

Sometimes, minor design changes may be desirable to meet specific local requirements.  Our experience with customers indicates that such design reviews are better undertaken before nationwide implementation using the results from a smaller-scale pilot.
