Previous resource management tools developed by Transend have been specific to either delivery or processing.  OPMS covers the end-to-end mail processing and delivery process. 

Flexibility

We recognise that your postal processes differ from those of other postal organisations - in small or large ways.  They also differ between locations, such as rural and metropolitan centres.  The design of OPMS enables any combination of work processes to be modelled.  OPMS will fit your operation - you don't need to make your operations fit OPMS.

User-friendly

OPMS is very intuitive and user-friendly.  The application can be customised with logos, images and content (such as local weather forecasts) and integrated into your company's intranet if desired.

Simplified data input

OPMS has been designed to cope with the reality of postal operations.  Staff don't have time to complete complex forms each day on their activity and output.  Particular attention has been paid to the input process to minimise the amount of data to be entered each day.

Data from other systems such as daily mail volumes from automated processing can easily be incorporated.

OPMS can provide one source of data which can be shared by other company-wide information systems.  For example, data input into OPMS can be linked to your HR system for calculating wages.

Knowledge not data

OPMS helps you to understand the key drivers of resourcing and costs, thereby enabling you to make informed decision to improve service performance and reduce costs at the same time.  Reports can be tailored to different users for regular of ad hoc reporting - reports may be by activity, by location, by region or nationally as required.  Users can also choose between graphs or tables depending on their personal preference.

Technology platform

OPMS is a web-based application using Oracle 10g for data storage.  The web-based application supports a multi-user environment.  Users access the application via a browser with no installation required on the desktop of the end user.
